Summary of the Meeting

With the main theme of "Future Prospect for Retail Industry 〜How Retailers and Manufacturers Can Work Together〜", we will return to CGF's vision of "realizing better lives through better business," or in other words, consumer orientation, and deepen the discussion of what our industry should be.

There are three main backgrounds for the above:

  • The transformation of consumer behaviors such as transformation of means of buying and transformation of eating habits in the With Covid-19, and transformation of working styles and diversification of values in the Post Covid-19
  • Changing behavior on the demand side (consumers) is essential to achieving Carbon Neutral (decarbonization)
  • The declining working population and labor shortage are already the most serious issues for Japan due to the super low birthrate and super aging population
